WAVFRS has selected EMVS PDF Print E-mail

The WA Volunteer FRS Association (link) have approved selection of EMVS for management of volunteer information, training and statistical information.

Adoption of EMVS will allow WAVFRS to control the information about their members, and provide a fast, more efficient service for their members.

Implementation is planned for last quarter of 2010.

 
IDMS 6.3 Release PDF Print E-mail

IDMS version 6.3 released.

This has been a major rewrite for Swiftworks, and has taken approximately 400 development hours.

New features include:

  • New messaging interface
  • Ability to send email and SMS to system and external users
  • Subscribe to external RSS feeds
  • Publish Messaging and Job/Task information via RSS

Current clients will be upgraded to the new version over the next 6-8 weeks.

 

 
Volunteer Competition Management System (VCMS) for EMVS PDF Print E-mail

VCMS is a internet based system offering on line teams and individual registration over the internet in a secure hosted environment. VCMS also provides real time internet access to event results from anywhere the internet is available.

The competition management system module is built around the manual processes developed by WA Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service for their regional and state championships. Three Registers are required to implement the VCMS these are:

  • Events
  • Competitors
  • Teams

From these registers a Competition Event Schedule is automatically created. 

The system was recently trialed in WA at the Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association State Championships and can easily be adapted to any volunteer association competition requirements

New versions of IDMS, EMVS and CPPS will all be available this month.


This round of releases includes bug fixes and branding updates. Some significant changes to the reporting module will result in better layouts and export functionality.


Updates will be rolled out to customers with maintenance agreements in September.

Traveltech software now part of Swiftworks.


As of July 1,  Traveltech products have been purchased by SwiftWorks. All product development, sales and support will now be managed by SwiftWorks.


Ken Mewha will take on the role of Marketing / Business Development Manager for Swiftworks, and will continue to be involved with product development.


 

 
SA Water Corporation selects IDMS PDF Print E-mail

South Australian Water Corporation (SAWATER) have selected IDMS for state wide incident management.


SAWATER recognised a need for a centrally managed incident management system that was scalable for large events, while still functional for localised incidents.


Implementation and training is scheduled for August 2009.

 
WAVFRS commence trial PDF Print E-mail

Western Australia Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service ( WAVFRS ), South West Region,  commence trial of EMVS for management of volunteer information and equipment.


Using a hosted solution, WAVFRS, have been able to initiate a trial of EMVS without any IT systems support or expense. 

It is intended that should the trial be successful, they will continue to utilise Swiftworks for hosting services.

 
City of Whittlesea manages disaster PDF Print E-mail

The City of Whittlesea, Victoria (COW) utilised IDMS during February's fires to manage the council’s Emergency Operation Centre.


IDMS was utilised to control messaging and actions throughout the council’s response to the disaster. Managing communications was vital to managing the event, and council representatives had found IDMS invaluable in this regard.
